Transitioning from bags to boxes
All our delivery trucks are refrigerated units, and all deliveries are packed primarily inside recyclable cardboard boxes. We use insulated bags to transport dairy, deli and meat items; which will be placed inside your cardboard box, or on its own if you only have a small order.
Our boxes and bags keep food fresh for a minimum of six hours, and often longer.
Additionally, we add frozen water packs to help keep your food cold - ensuring your order arrives in market-fresh condition, and helps when you're not there to receive the delivery.
If you're not home our driver will leave your order in a shady spot near the front of your house; or you can leave specific instructions in the comments section at checkout.
Do I return the insulated bags?
Yes. By returning these bags to us, this helps us keep our costs down, and ensure that we can pass these savings onto the customer.
If you have more than one insulated bag to return, please help us make your delivery as efficient as possible for you (and other customers), by simply placing them all inside a single insulated bag. These bags will fit inside each other either standing up, or by being folded over themselves twice.
Please refrain from using anything to tie up bags being returned, such as rope or elastic bands.
Can I return the water packs?
You can leave them inside one of your insulated bags, where they will be checked upon return before being reused.
Can I return the cardboard boxes?
These boxes are designed to be recycled using kerbside collection offered by your council or shire. Ensure boxes are broken down (tape removed), and folded over before being placed in your kerbside bin.
And by recycling these boxes, you're helping to ensure cardboard resources are produced from as much recycled content as possible. These boxes already contain 70% post-consumer recycled content, and using boxes made from recycled materials reduces the impact on the planet at several levels.
If you're unable to recycle the boxes using your kerbside collection service, our drivers will accept the boxes back for recycling. To make things easier, please ensure the boxes are flattened before collection.
