Are there some criteria my products must meet?
Yes, and here is our criteria that you'll need to be aware of.
- Your location
Have a warehouse based in Perth, Western Australian
(We do not currently accept unsolicited proposals from entities who do not meet this criteria) - Is it a line we can't already source
Have items or lines that aren't readily procurable through Perth's 'Market City' Complex. - Carton label specifications
All products supplied need to have one of the following labels affixed to the two (2) faces of each box/carton - one (1) on the longest face, and one (1) on the shortest face:
- A GS1 Logistics Label
- Another label format displaying the following minimum information within a single physical label, in an easy to read format:
- Product full name (Name, weights, count of items in box)
For example: Premium White Sourdough Loaf, 700g, 10 units - Your product code (i.e. PB40001)
- GTIN (Barcode) if a finished retail product.
- Batch/Lot number
- Production Date written in an AS ISO 8601-2007 date format (i.e. DD.MM.YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY)
- Stipulate either a Best Before or Use By date written in an AS ISO 8601-2007 date format (i.e. DD.MM.YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY)
- Product full name (Name, weights, count of items in box)
- Note: GS1 Logistics Labels aren’t mandatory for goods delivered to us, but they are of significant help to your customers – especially in the food industry, as they assist them with stock identification, tracking, and rotation. GS1 Australia provides easy to use online tools to generate SSCC’s easy, that can be found at:

- Barcode and data bars
- non-food, self-stable, frozen, pre-prepared, and fresh packaged items of fixed weight:
- Has a barcode
- Barcode has been registered with and tested by the competent authority in the issuing country, with proof of same available on request
- Fresh loose produce:
- Has a GS1 data bar
- GS1 data bar has been registered with and tested by the competent authority in the issuing country, with proof of same available on request
- Meat products
- Are able to produce and package items with customer-specified labels affixed, containing PLU and weight embedded variable barcodes, customer-specified fields and data, and can print on a specified label stock.
- Are able to provide sample finished labels meeting these requirements for testing at the appropriate point of supplier on boarding
- non-food, self-stable, frozen, pre-prepared, and fresh packaged items of fixed weight:
- Product specifications, data and images
- Non-food, self-stable, frozen, pre-prepared, and fresh packaged items of fixed weight
- All product data and images are loaded to, and are accessible, from the National Product Catalogue (NPC) managed by GS1 Australia, with:
- High quality images created by an approved image service
- All weights, measurements and dimensions of the individual product, and outer carton(s)
- For all products intended for human consumption, completed product specification information including country of origin, all product ingredients, allergens and intolerances, health star ratings, nutrition content.
- A person within the supplier is tasked and responsible for ensuring this data is maintained on a regular basis, including as and when there is any changes to the required information
- We may accept products where information is provided by other catalogue systems for this purpose, but this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- All product data and images are loaded to, and are accessible, from the National Product Catalogue (NPC) managed by GS1 Australia, with:
- Fresh loose produce, Meat, and non-shelf stable
- Able to provide appropriate high quality images, meeting specifications similar to National Product Catalogue (NPC) requirements.
- Able to provide data on all weights, measurements and dimensions of the individual product, and outer carton(s)
- For all products intended for human consumption, completed product specification information including country of origin, all product ingredients, allergens and intolerances, health star ratings, nutrition content, in a manner that enables us to convey this information to customers ensuring compliance with packaging and labelling requirements listed below
- A designated person within the supplier is tasked and responsible for communication with its customers about these matters on a regular basis, including as and when there is any changes to the required information
- Non-food, self-stable, frozen, pre-prepared, and fresh packaged items of fixed weight
- Barcode and data bars
- Packaging and labelling
- Compliant with labelling requirements.
- Compliant with country of origin labelling requirements.
- Compliant with Truth in labelling, weights and measures and legibility.
- Can demonstrate that products sold by weight or volume are measured using equipment compliant with relevant legislative framework in the jurisdiction of the the items manufacture (for example, in Australia - this is the National Measurement Act 1960, and its related regulations and guidelines)
- Additional requirements for food products
- Non-shelf stable products (products with a limited shelf life)
- Are able to accept orders for, and deliver these items, to our designated dock within the Perth Metropolitan area before a specified time daily.
- Food Safety
- Possess the appropriate license for food manufacturing, production and distribution from the relevant competent authority.
- Can demonstrate ongoing compliance with a food safety management and/or auditing system (such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, BRC, SQF 1000/2000, or GFSI) relevant to the type of business you conduct.
- Is willing to comply with periodic efforts by us to confirm your business is compliant with any licenses or safety standards necessary for its operation; including but not limited to:
- copies of your most recent Food Act registration certificate,
- a copy of one or more recent health inspections, and
- any other documentation to relevant industry licenses or quality assurance processes you undertake.
- Non-shelf stable products (products with a limited shelf life)
- Recalls
- Can demonstrate ongoing compliance with the legislative framework for Recalls within Australia.
My product meets the relevant criteria, how can I send you a proposal?
Please submit an online request, with as much information about your business and the products you're wishing to propose to us, that includes:
- Business and marketing information
- Product information - including photography of finished and packaged product,
- Price sheets
- Minimum order quantities
- Warehouse location
- Cost of delivery to the Perth metropolitan area
- Details of your answers, and relevant attachments, addressing the relevant product criteria listed earlier in this article.
Attach this information in either a PDF or MS Word document to your online request, and ensure that you include information that demonstrates your compliance our earlier criteria.

I've submitted a proposal, what happens next?
Once received, your proposal will be forwarded to our buyers, who will review and make contact if we are interested in the products being offered.
Only those submitting proposals of interest to WA Fresh Delivered will be contacted further; with appropriate proposals being taken through to initial discussions; and potentially agreement, ranging, supplier on boarding, and other processes relevant to stocking and selling your item.
